Timothy J. Piazza Memorial Foundation raises close to $500,000 to help children.

To our many friends, sponsors, donors, golfers and followers,

Let me first start by thanking each of you for your support, in whatever form it came, in contributing to the amazing success The Timothy J. Piazza Memorial Foundation (TJPMF) experienced in its short existence. We have been humbled by your support and generosity. In less than 18 months, we have raised close to $500,000, more than $300,000 of which came from our first and second annual Golf Outing and Dinner events that were held at Fiddlers Elbow Country Club. For those who attended our outings, you already know that we sold out all three courses at Fiddlers Elbow and had a golfer waiting list both years. We also had more than 400 people in attendance for the dinner, silent auction and tricky tray event each year. Oh, and by the way, we had rain in both years! In 2018, we had downpours but that didn’t stop the golfers. In 2019 we expect sunny skies and perfect golfing conditions. We have heard from many people there, the events were one of the best charity events or golf outings that they ever attended and they were a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends and meet new friends, all committed to a similar cause. We have also raised money by direct contributions, other fundraisers and United Way allocations.

As you consider your 2018 year-end giving, please consider giving directly to the The Timothy J. Piazza Memorial Foundation by visiting our website (www.liveliketim.org) and clicking on Donate or sending a check to the PO Box address below.

Our Board now consists of 9 awesome and committed individuals. We are pleased to report that in 2018, the Foundation was able to provide a prosthetic foot to a 7 year old boy who lost his limb in a tragic accident, a $20,000 grant to Children’s Specialized Hospital of New Jersey for purchase of Bioness equipment, which is used to help children to regain their mobility and freedom and ten $1,000 college scholarships to recipients from Hunterdon Central Regional High School. In addition, we are currently evaluating prosthetic needs for more than 8 other children. In less than 18 months, we are making a meaningful impact consistent with the bylaws of the Foundation. None of this would have been possible without your generosity and support. Please stay tuned for updates on our grants by visiting our website. We will continue to look for worthy recipients to continue to help make a difference in lives of those in need. That’s what Tim would want and expect. Our work is far from done and we again will look to you for your generosity and support.

We are pleased to announce that the 2018 Timothy J. Piazza Memorial Foundation Golf Outing and Dinner has been set for Monday, August 12, 2019 at Fiddlers Elbow Country Club. Registration for the event is will open in early 2019 at www.liveliketim.org. Please see the golf section of our website and register early. We will also be accepting sponsorships, as well as donations for auction and tricky tray prizes. We hope you will support the event and join us for what will no doubt be another quality event.

Finally, we would like to wish you and your family a very Happy Holiday Season and a safe and Healthy New Year. Holidays are the time for families to come together and enjoy each other’s company. Take nothing for granted as there are no guarantees for what tomorrow will bring.

Once again, we would like to thank you for your support. You have helped turn tragedy into promise for so many others.
